Use of Simple Past and
Past Perfect Tense
When
second action happened after the first action, we can use both, simple past
tense and past perfect tense.
For
example:
·
Jane
had finished her homework before she went to zoo.
·
After
Jane had finished her homework, she went to zoo.
In
both the examples:
First
action is: Jane finishing her homework
Second
action is: Jane going to zoo.
When
we are talking about two actions happening one after other, then we represent
the first action in Past Perfect tense, and the second action in Simple present
tense.
*Same
rule can be used for mentioning simple present tense and present perfect tense.
